CHESTNUT GROVE, provides eighty (80), Federal funded, age restricted (55+) apartments to senior citizens. There is a preference for applicants residing in Winsted, New Hartford, Colebrook, Norfolk and Barkhamsted; though we accept all applications regardless where the applicant lives. Although all three of Winchester Housing Authority communities are close to the Winsted Senior Center, Chestnut Grove is located right across the street.
